Tokyo, September 3, 2013 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd., announced today the release of new watches in its most sophisticated and prestigious collection to date: the MT-G Metal Twisted line of chronographs for the active gentleman who appreciates G-SHOCK performance technology but also enjoys the prestige of a luxury accessory. Inspired by the professional pilot, the new MTG-S1000 watches are ready for both formal occasions and tough conditions.

The MT-G line of chronographs is the absolute embodiment of the G-SHOCK brand’s toughness and high quality. The new MTG-S1000 models are a completely new G-SHOCK series crafted at Casio’s factory in Japan in select premium styles. Meticulously assembled from materials and components made entirely in-house, the elegance of a luxury timepiece is combined with the durability of a rugged performance chronograph. The stainless steel casing of the MT-G-S1000 series houses G-SHOCK’s advanced “Core Guard Structure” assembly to ensure mechanical integrity, coupled with Tough Movement for ongoing precision. “Multi-Band 6” atomic timekeeping further ensures accuracy through radio-controlled updates from global transmitters, and “Triple G Resist” delivers the ultimate in watch durability.

This elite collection is elevating the G-SHOCK brand into a more premium space for the consumer enjoying an affluent lifestyle. Impeccably designed to represent masculine values, the MTG-S1000 watches feature a dual-layer watch face with four sub dials providing a host of pilot-concept functionalities easily activated via the “Smart Access” system. The sapphire glass works to soften the watch aesthetic, while the composite band of solid stainless steel panels is underlain with a fine-resin for supreme comfort against the skin.

Core Guard Structure
Four stainless-steel pipes form a metal frame that joins the bezel securely with the case back. A resin case is mounted inside the frame to protect the module from direct shocks. This Core Guard Structure with its metal frame mirrors the basic G-SHOCK concept of a “hollow structure” in which the module is fl oated in the air with support at just a few points.
Layered composite band
Metal band parts are combined with lightweight but highly durable fine resin parts to achieve a solid feel and reduce weight simultaneously.
Four-layer dial structure
The 3D dial, comprising four layers and conveying an impression of depth, is mounted with oversized hour markers with prominently protruding edges. Despite the use of resin material to absorb shocks, G-SHOCK’s unique cutting and evaporation technologies have helped to produce a robust, radiantly beautiful form.
Sallaz polishing
The bezel, bevelled case sections are processed with Sallaz polishing, a superlative metal-polishing technique, to create beautiful mirror surfaces.
